The next
thing that came into my eyes after the lighthouse and the railroad, which are
said to be specialties of Cheongsapo is none other than the town map of sashimi
and roasted clam. I could see there are so many just taking a glance at the
map. Of course there are teahouses where you can enjoy your spare time looking
at the scenery of Cheongsapo, and wedding studios lined up because any picture
you take becomes a pictorial due to the beautiful scenery, but on weekends
every single restaurant is overcrowded with people. I will be introducing
shortly, but if there were various kinds of restaurants with good moods at
Dalmaji hill, there are seafood restaurants concentrated here.
I went in to ‘Soomin’s,’ famous for broiled
eels and roasted clams and ordered broiled eels and shrimp. It is a very famous
place but people have likes and dislikes about this place according to their
taste, and to my opinion I think it’s a better place to eat broiled eels rather
than roasted clams. To introduce something interesting, there is a vegetable
leaf called the ‘banga,’ and it has its unique strong scent. This is the place
where I got to know the ‘banga’ leaf for the first time. People have likes and
dislike about this due to its strong scent, but if you place a sheet of banga
on top of the eel the flavor of the eel and the scent of banga mix together
peculiarly and tosses about inside your mouth. There are quite a few
postscripts that say ‘Soomin’s’ isn’t very friendly, but since my boyfriend and
I both are quite talkative and amiable, we told jokes with the employee there
and enjoyed our time there. I wasn’t disappointed at anything, but since it is
a busy place all the time, it would be hard to expect a fine service.
